WEINGUT KELLER
Klaus-Peter Keller, becoming a living German wine legend, is producing some of the greatest dry Rieslings and Pinot Noir coming from the Rheinhessen region. His G-Max cuvée, with grapes sourced from a well-kept secret old-vines plot and almost impossible to find, are considered the “German Montrachet” by Jancis Robinson.

EMIDIO PEPE - Abruzzo

Emidio Pepe is a singular producer creating amazingly complex age-worthy reds and whites in a region of mass produced, overly engineered versions of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. Though the family has been producing wines here since the end of the 19th Century, the winemaking process has remained philosophically unchanged since Emidio Pepe took over the estate in 1964. The dynamic Chiara de Iulis Pepe (right of the photo) has joined the estate in the early 2010s as the fifth generation!

Domaine MUGNERET GIBOURG
Vosne Romanee

Marie-Christine and Marie-Andrée, the “Mugneret Sisters”,  have led the domaine for the last 20 years and have run the domaine in partnership with their mother, Jacqueline. They have been mastering their wines to show seductive power of Burgundian Pinot Noir like no other one else. Their very small production is highly sought-after and the domaine's most prized and expensive wines come from  the grand cru vineyards of Ruchottes Chambertin, Clos de Vougeot and Echézeaux.

LOT 4 - Current highest bid: HKD 13,500

Domaine Cecile TREMBLAY
Morey Saint Denis

Domaine Cécile Tremblay was born in 2003 but it didn't take long for the world to recognise this superstar. Apart from the association her family line has with the Jayer family which started in 1921, Cécile’s vineyards are all located in the prime location of Vosne Romanee and the average age of vines are quite old. She pushed the standard further by resorting to organic and biodynamic farming. Echezeaux du Dessus, Chapelle Chambertin and Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Feusselottes are the flagship wines of the domaine.

The domaine now composes with prestigious appellations, farmed entirely organically, such as Grand Cru les Echezeaux and many of the most beautiful 1er crus in Chambolle-Musigny.

LOT 6 - Current highest bid: HKD 4,000

Domaine ARNOUX-LACHAUX
Vosne Romanee

Charles Lachaux represents the 6th generation of the family and is running the estate today. The domaine was previously named as Domaine Robert Arnoux. Interestingly, Charles is a disciple of Lalou Bize Leroy: training the vines’ shoot high and longer than usual, which is also a very labour intensive work to achieve good maturity, more elegant wine with mild tannins and alcohol - that responds well to global warming. Charles follows both organic and biodynamics. The wines are traditional and represent some of the top wines of Burgundy today.

Domaine Thibault LIGER-BELAIR
Vosne Romanee

Thibault took up some very exciting vineyards from the family domaine of Liger Belair in 2001 at only 26 years old. He took his base in Nuits St Georges and the estate covers the reclaimed vineyards including Richebourg,  Clos de Vougeot and Les Saint Georges with vines aged between 30-75 years old. The wines are poised and refined with not more than 50% new oak as the maximum proportion.

Domaine HUBERT LAMY
Saint Aubin
Olivier Lamy is one of the most-hardworking and passionate White wine maker in all of Burgundy. He owns most of his holdings in the so-called “secondary” appellation of Saint-Aubin and many wonders what he could accomplish if he had more famous spots. His vines are planted at a high density and are state of the art in terms of viticulture, blending ancient viticultural practices and modern knowledge. The very appealing appellation St Aubin 1er Cru “En Remilly” is an extraordinary wine which vines are located right next to the Chevalier Montrachet and Montrachet Grand Crus, a parcel that was classified as a Grand Cru on the same level as the Montrachet before the 1923 classification.

Domaine LAMY-CAILLAT
Chassagne Montrachet

Domaine Lamy Caillat is a very artisanal estate which is being described as the Chassange-Montrachet’s Best Kept Secret by William Kelley of the Wine Advocate. It is led by Sebastien Caillat who was a civil engineer before becoming a winemaker. The wines gain much complexity by long maturation with 28 months on lees after 2013. The production is very small with some of the best vineyards in Chassagne including 1er Cru La Romanee, Les Caillerets and Les Champs Gains.

1 Magnum of Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru LA ROMANEE 2018.

Sebastien will bottle only one magnum for this Charity. Only one for the whole world.

LOT 12 - Current highest bid: HKD 3,000

Domaine Jean Marc VINCENT
Santenay

Santenay GRAVITE 2015
1 Magnum

LOT 13 - Current highest bid: HKD 3,000

Jean-Marc Vincent is a master of 1er cru Santenay, but this tête de cuvée does not officially have 1er cru status or bear a lieu-dit. Instead, it is a blend of the Vincents’ oldest parcels in Santenay, made using gravity-flow vinification.

Using same viticulture techinques as LEROY or Olivier LAMY, this producer is one of the gem in burgundy and its Gravite Cuvee is trully special.

@dmjmvincent

Domaine ULYSSE COLLIN
Congy

Olivier Collin is the owner and winegrower of Ulysse Collin. Often being branded as a rising star of Champagne - he has made almost two decades of vintages with his very distinctive and rare terroir of concentrated silex and and soft chalk in the village of Congy. The wines now have evolved into cult status, and the vineyards became very distinctively different -  Les Pierrieres, Les Roises, Les Maillons and Les Enfers. These are all very intense, refined and Burgundian-styled Champagnes.

Patrick Piuze’s knowledge of Chablis’ terroirs runs deep, he is able to make wines with very distinctive style of each individual plot of the provenance. Domaine FOREY
Vosne Romanee

Domaine Forey is a very classic estate in Vosne Romanee making wide range of wines from Gaudichots to Nuits St Georges. Regis Forey is in charge since 1987 and had also been making La Romanee before it becomes a monopole of the Liger Belair family after 2001. The wines are charming, full of elegance and finesse.

Domaine CHARTOGNE TAILLET
Merfy

Alexandre Chartogne took up the domaine since 2006 and he had been working alongside Anselme Selosse before. The domaine has a long line of history that dates back from the 17th century and the vineyards are mostly in Merfy. The viticulture is centered on preserving the singularity of each terroir, the particular soil of Merfy in order to fully extract the real minerality it carries. The champagnes are vibrant, balanced and intense with good ripeness of fruit.

CHEMIN DE REIMS 2012 - 1 Jeroboam.
St Anne as it comes directly from the personal cellar of Mr Chartogne. Please note that’s a rather special St Anne cuvée cause it’s in fact of a Chemin de Reims inside this rare Jeroboam

LOT 18 - Current highest bid: HKD 4,500

@chartognetaillet

Domaine LORENZON
Mercurey

Bruno Lorenzon started working crazily on his vineyards as soon as early 2000s including practising organic farming, high density vine-planting (like what is done at the domaine Hubert Lamy), training vines high and having very low yields (20hl/ha!) like Leroy. The amount of work Bruno is achieving is very intensive and makes the domaine in the vast area of the very conventional and usually neglected Mercurey appellation an incredible domaine to watch for to find wines of great elegance and still undervalued.

Mercurey 1er Cru Champ Martin Cuvee Carline 2016

LOT 19 - Current highest bid: HKD 2,500

The brothers are meticulous in their winemaking process with the same level of attention to detail in the entry-level wines as the Batard-Montrachet. The wines have very pure and concentrated fruits.
